What is Calcium Grits?
Calcium Grits are a coarser-graded limestone product, produced alongside our finer lime lines. Unlike powdered lime, grits are sized for applications where a granular, insoluble material is needed — most commonly as a calcium and grit source in poultry feed, where it supports digestion and eggshell quality in laying birds, and as a construction-grade aggregate for general building and groundwork use.
As with all our products, Limestone Grits are processed and packed at our Mombasa facility with the same quality-first approach applied to our Stock Feed Lime and Hydrated Lime lines.
